San Diego Comic Convention 2009 REPORT
.
Kotobukiya would like to thank all of our fans and media, Cosplayers for helping us out make a wonderful event and atmosphere at SanDiego Comic Convention 2009! We have to admit, this was definitely one of the best events we have attended and without the help of everyone it could not have been accomplished. Now that we are back in Tokyo I’d like to show you guys what cool and exciting things occurred at our event booth and give you a review on our booth!
.
This year our approach to the event was very different from former events. We had the honor of bringing along one of our best young and talented sculptor Junnosuke Abe who challenged on live sculpting demonstration, creating a Wolverine in his latest costume for the first time. I will be reintroducing Junnosuke Abe in another article showing the “Live Sculpting Demonstration: Making of Documentary of Wolverine”.
.
At our Event Center we had hourly events that gathered huge crowds each time with lots of excitements and fun. With the super support of media friends we where able to have a blast.
.
Special thanks to: CollectionDX.com, Funimation, Destroy All Podcasts DX, Star Wars Action News, StatueForum.com, KotoCollectors.com, Action Figure Insider, Super7 Magazine, Comics and Comics, the 501st Legion, Miracole, and many more helped us out at our booth!

–Arrival
After 13 long hours of flight, we finally arrived to L.A Airport around 3PM. Kotobukiya’s branch company Koto Inc is located in L.A and every year before we head over to San Diego we stop by. After we gathered everything for the event we drove for about 2~3 hours to get to the Convention Center. We reached San Diego around 6PM and it was still light outside. By the time we dropped off everything and got dinner it was already night time. The city was quiet and not too many where outside. We knew right than San Diego was just sleeping for some rest before its big day.

–Preview night
.
Despite its name, “Preview Night” this day was one of the busiest day during the convention. We knew the floors would be filled with fans looking to get a hold of exclusive items for the event. This was our last day to get ready and we where very excited to meet everyone!
.
In no time we had lines of people waiting to purchase their Kotobukiya Exclusives Wolverine X-Force and Black Widow.
