“What is better than having a lightsaber? It’s having two lightsabers in the form of chopsticks. The Chop-Sabers set comes with 2 pairs of chopsticks, one smaller than the other. There are two sets which offer some combination of Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker or Yoda’s lightsabers, which are all modeled in great detail. Having eaten a few meals with them, the transparent tips reveal bite marks which prove that Star Wars branded merchandise are more of a collector’s item than a functional one. The chopsticks are mostly round and smooth which allows them to roll away very easily and makes it difficult to pick up food since they are frictionless. Star Wars labeled chopstick rests are also included with the purchase and add a classy look to the set while preventing the chopsticks from rolling around. According to the packaging, the chopsticks are made of styrene-acrylonitrile resin which is a type of plastic that is known for its resistance to heat.  The “Household Goods Quality Label” on the product indicates that it can handle temperatures of up to 176 degrees Fahrenheit. Despite the extreme geekiness of owning these barely functional chopsticks, it gives me great pleasure to have them out of the box and to be using them as opposed to displaying them and gathering dust. For fans of Star Wars, this is a fun product to have and if nothing else, it may help improve your chopstick skills given the awkward design.”
