A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! During World War II, James Buchanan “Bucky” Barnes served as Captain America’s sidekick and partner, fighting crime around the world. After a terrible accident Bucky is believed to be dead, but in fact is found by Russians. They outfit him with powerful cybernetics and brainwash him to believe he is their assassin, with the code-name WINTER SOLDIER. With Captain America’s help Bucky reclaims his identity and becomes a force for good once again.

Captured in mid-air by master sculptor Junnosuke Abe, Winter Soldier crashes into a trio of HYDRA troopers. The dynamic Soldier looks like he was pulled right out of the comics, with his intricate costume and powerful mechanical arm. No detail has been left out, with attention paid to each weapon, strap, buckle, and even the heroic Cap style star on Winter Soldier’s arm. For a great display option, the assassin comes with an alternate head – the long haired version of Winter Soldier!

Fully 13 inches tall, Winter Soldier is constructed of cold cast porcelain and is a limited, numbered edition. The stone base is actually the shape and style of Captain America’s shield, hinting that another half of the base may be coming to The Kotobukiya Collection in the near future…

A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! Steve Rogers served his country for decades as Captain America, one of the true legends in Marvel Comics lore. When Cap was tragically killed in the aftermath of The Civil War, one man had the courage to stand up and take on the mantle of his mentor: none other than James Buchanan Barnes – once Rogers’ sidekick Bucky and more recently the operative known as The Winter Soldier. With Iron Man’s help he has become the NEW CAPTAIN AMERICA, a hero for a new generation!
Like his previous incarnation in the Winter Soldier Fine Art Statue, the New Captain America is dynamically posed flying through the air, crashing into three Hydra troopers. Also sculpted by Junnosuke Abe the modern American hero is outfitted in his current costume, blending the traditional with the new. The classic red, white, and blue are offset by the new black bodysuit, complete with utility belt, combat knife, and pistol! Of course, he is clutching Rogers’ original iconic shield. The hero’s face is a grimace of anger and determination as he dispenses his own brand of justice.
Standing 13 inches tall, the New Captain America has the same high-quality cold cast porcelain construction that all of The Kotobukiya Collection shares, and is a limited, numbered edition. His base forms the other half of the Captain America shield symbol, matching up with the Winter Soldier Fine Art Statue’s so the two heroes can fight back to back in a stunning diorama scene!

Kotobukiya’s second 2009 San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive is X-FORCE: WOLVERINE FINE ART BUST. During Marvel Comics’ Messiah Complex story arc, Wolverine became leader of the new X-Force team and got a wicked new costume as well. For the first time ever, the mutant hero’s fearsome black and gray outfit, accented with piercing red eyes, has been created in the form of a high-end collectible. This is not simply a repaint, but an entirely new, highly-detailed, original sculpture.

Posed as though daring an enemy to make the first move, Wolverine turns to the side with his right arm raised up and the left pointed down. His claws, 2 1/3 inches long and made of real metal, are extended on both hands. As part of The Kotobukiya Collection of Fine Art Busts, Wolverine stands 9 inches tall, and is constructed of cold cast porcelain. Logan is sculpted by master artist Junnosuke Abe and rests atop a specialized base decorated by a relief sculpture of Logan’s civilian face.

Limited to only 500 pieces and only available at Kotobukiya’s booth #2601, this bust’s base features an individually serial numbered metal plate. To try to ensure that fans attending on different days of the convention will all have an opportunity to obtain this incredible sculpture, each day’s sales will be limited as follows:
300pcs for Wednesday, July 22nd (preview night)
150pcs for Thursday, July 23rd
50pcs for Friday July 24th.
Purchases will be limited to only 2 busts per person, and is priced at only $80. With Wolverine’s popularity, striking costume design, and low edition size, this bust is sure to be a highly sought after collectible.

A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! In 2007 the Marvel superhero team The Fantastic Four hit theaters in the biggest sequel event of the year: FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER. From that film comes THE THING, the next in the Fine Art Bust line in The Kotobukiya Collection – immaculately detailed cold cast porcelain recreations of your favorite Marvel characters. In 1/6th scale with all of the other Fine Art Busts, the mighty Thing is almost 10” tall.

One of the astronauts aboard a fateful mission, Benjamin Grimm was bathed in space radiation that turned him into the orange rocky creature known as Thing. With great strength and durability Thing is a cornerstone of the Fantastic Four, both in the comic books and in the films, played by actor Michael Chiklis. Sculpted by Shinichi Suzuki, Thing leans forward and cracks his knuckles, ready for “clobberin’ time.” The rocky texture of the hero’s skin is intricately detailed as only Kotobukiya can!

The Fine Art Bust of Thing features a deluxe marquee-style base with the Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer logo that actually lights up! Furthermore, each bust in this Limited Edition has a hand written serial number on the back of the base.

A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! Richard Rider was an average teen, until inducted as a centurion in an intergalactic police force called the Nova Corps. Imbued with a vast array of superpowers and a uniform, NOVA became a superhero dedicated to the defense of Earth.

Nova’s dynamic pose captures the mighty superhero blasting off, with his left arm raised above him toward the heavens. His signature dark blue and gold StarCorps armor is meticulously reproduced from the comic books by sculptor Junnosuke Abe, and features the enhancements used in battle against Annihilus in the massively popular Annihilation series. The hero’s feet are hidden within the fire blast at the top of his base, but the statue is removable so you can enjoy his flying pose without the base. Nova’s face is determined and focused, highlighted by the all-blue eyes within the gold helmet. Both the eyes and the three energy regulators on his chest are treated with special glow in the dark paint, while a powerful LED light in the base recreates Nova’s explosive energy effect!

Nova, like the other Fine Art Statues in the Kotobukiya Collection, is a limited, numbered edition constructed of high-quality cold cast porcelain. The flying superhero stretches over 15 inches high, from his intricate blast-off base to his upraised fist.
